Founded in 1271 by the inhabitants of the castles of Focara, was Cattolica, since its origins, a city of transit for the many travelers who passed for trade and pilgrimage.
THE TOWN HALL
Elegant town dating to 1914 and recently restored, the Town Hall of Cattolica overlooking Piazza Roosevelt, one of the most beautiful Cattolica.
THE DANCING FOUNTAINS
Piazza 1° Maggio or "Piazza delle Sirene" takes the name of the fountain placed at its center, has always been venue for many events and shows hosted.
THE TOWN CENTRE
The center of Cattolica winds mainly along Viale Bovio, recently renovated, and via Curiel. During the summer comes alive with numerous events and shows.
THE HISTORICAL CENTRE
The main elements of the historic center of Catholic are: the Malatesta Fortress, the Church of Sant'Apollinare, the museum of the Queen and the numerous underground tunnels.
THE REGINA MUSEUM
Opened in 2000, hosting exhibitions of archaeological and marine type, there are also large-scale models of traditional boats of the major seafaring Adriatic.
THE MARKET SQUARE
It is located in a barycentric position with respect to the center city, is the commercial heart and symbolic center of the town of Cattolica.
THE MULTI-CULTURAL CENTRE
The cultural center has a framework semicircular with adjacent library, theater and the arena of the Queen.
THE REGINA THEATRE
Opened in 1996, represents a typical example of Italian theater, the union of elegance and modernity, has 700 seats and a exceptional furniture.
THE CHURCHES
The Church of Sant'Apollinare, located within the "castrum", is the oldest and dates back to 1286, more recent churches of S. Pio V, Sant'Antonio and San Benedetto.
THE WALK ALONG
Via Dante, being closed to traffic and a step away from the sea, is an island of serenity for visitors and those who walk quietly.
THE BEACH AND THE SEA FRONT
A large walk from portocanale comes to the opposite side of the city of Cattolica, and runs close to the bathing establishments
THE HARBOUR
The harbour of Cattolica, formed by two piers docks, represents a landmark since the Middle Ages thanks to its geographical position and to fishing.
THE WATER PARK "LE NAVI"
Project dating back to the '30s, "Le Navi" is now home to a modern theme park and are a major tourist attraction for the town of Cattolica.
